30 Amp Generator Cord, 40ft

The cable is flexible and stays flat on the ground, which I think shows it's well made with good multi-strand wiring. It has a soft rubbery outer layer. The plugs fit snugly into the sockets. I'm happy that the socket doesn't have a sticking-out plastic piece like the plug does, because it fits perfectly into my transfer switch.

I bought this to use during power cuts after storms, mainly to power our well pump since it's a must-have for water. We don't have a switch for the whole house, just for the pump. I installed an L14-30 connector near the basement's electrical box to easily connect it to the generator when needed. It's the only way we can get water during a long outage, like the last one that lasted over a day. The cord is a good deal considering its length, and it comes with a convenience organizer. It looks sturdy and is quite flexible. It might not be as heavy-duty as my neighbor's cord from Ridgid, but for our occasional use, it should hold up for years.

This cord is high quality. I even left it out in a winter storm with lots of rain and ice, and it held up great. It's waterproof and super sturdy, giving you a fantastic deal for what you pay. Just check that the cord model fits the plug on your generator. I can't recommend it enough!

Purchased this for backup during power outages. Haven't had to use it in a real situation yet, but I've tested it and there's a little play in the plug when it's connected, yet it still makes a solid connection. It's a good buy for the price. Would recommend it and would buy it again if I had to.

I used this to the test during Hurricane Laura. I had a shorter 15 foot cord, but running the generator right by my garage door for more than a week with the cable under it was just too noisy. So, I used this 40 foot cord to move the generator further from my house and still had plenty of length to reach the transfer switch. It worked without any issues, and it was a much better price than what I'd find in a store.

I needed this to hook up my generator to the power in my shed. I had to move my noisy generator far enough away so I could actually hear my own thoughts. It works perfectly, with no power loss and it doesn't heat up. It seems to be well-built and sturdy.

You'll likely need an electrician to set up your system so it can power through your main box and connect to the key circuits. 30 Amps is quite a bit of power, so don't fret about the size, most home circuits don't pull in a lot of current unless they're running big appliances like electric stoves, ovens, heaters, or large air conditioners. Your lights, electronics, and even some refrigeration (as long as you keep the door closed) should be covered. This is convenient if you have a gas generator and need to plug in somewhere away from the house to avoid fumes. It's also great for motorhomes or camping. If you're in need of something like this, it's a good recommendation.

I wasn't sure about the ETL ratings, so I chose this cord because of the strong review by Sanpete (2/2/19). He did his job on those ratings and compared them with well-known ones like ANSI & UL. This cord is pretty durability, definitely strong enough to handle the power it says it can. It's smart to distribute the load evenly across the two prongs of the 30Amp cord. I'm confident it will perform as promised. I tested this cord and another one with a small load to check that my new generator and both of its 30Amp cords work well on both prongs. I'm thinking about trying 50Amp cords next.

The Kohree 30 amp generator cord is a bit thicker than the one I had before, but it's way cheaper than the first one I got. It's well made, and the plugs are good quality. The smooth, waterproof cover is flexible enough to roll up easily with the help of the handy hanger/handle. This cord is good for 7500 watts, which should be enough for most home needs. The 40-foot length is a good deal considering it's built tough and has a 10-gauge 30A 125/250V rating. It's a solid purchase and definitely worth looking at. I give it 5 stars for being a 30A 4-prong twist lock 220V US cord.

This cord is fantastic, it fits our generator and my MIG welder perfectly. It gives me the freedom to weld from a greater distance from the generator, which is a good thing for several reasons, including keeping the risky welding sparks away from the generator's fuel tank. It can also work for some RV setups if you have a 4-prong twist lock connector, though that's not the usual type for RVs.
