12V Portable RV Macerator Pump 12 GPM for RV & Marine

Used it for nearly three weeks, almost daily. Performed as expected. However, the cigarette lighter plug was poor quality and stopped functioning. Had to take it off and wire it directly. After crimping, applied liquid tape-see photo. Also, when mounting to my pipe, the unit sat sideways and couldn't be secured properly. Possibly due to how my fittings were arranged. Aside from that, it worked fine and got the job done. In the future, having a 110V adapter would make connecting to a generator or outlet easier, since the battery is located at the front of my 19-foot camper. Might need an extension with the correct wiring or gender changer.

Extremely impressed with this macerator pump. The product is thoughtfully designed and comes with absolutely everything needed to empty black and gray tanks from an RV or travel trailer at home-whether dumping into a yard cleanout or directly into a toilet. It includes the pump that secures right to your rig, gloves, a power cord with dual power options, a drain hose, and a clear section of tubing so you can watch the process-seeing when only water remains (tanks are empty) or when cleaner water is being pumped (especially noticeable if using black tank flush). With dumping fees around $20 each trip here in Colorado, this pump has already paid for itself in just one season. That's an outstanding return on investment. Functions well with a washout one-way valve. Ended up mounting the unit and installed a wall switch for control.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on performance or durability yet, as my RV remodel is taking longer than planned and I haven't had a chance to use it. I'll provide an update after a few uses if any issues come up.

Keep in mind it requires a 12V power source, like a battery or outlet. I'm adding an outlet on that side of the RV during the remodel, so it will be ready to go.

The kit comes with a garden hose (for water input or output, though you'll want a second one), reusable gloves, a switched power cable, a 12-volt battery adapter (the cable plugs into a cigarette lighter-style port), Teflon tape, assorted hose adapters and clamps, and even a screwdriver. Setup is straightforward-connect directly to the blackwater drain or use a stinky slinky, add a water and drain hose (standard types), plug it in, and flip the switch. Since it's a pump, minor uphill angles aren't an issue... which can be a lifesaver on uneven campsites. It's powerful, a bit noisy, but gets the job done well. The incoming clean water also does a better job rinsing the tank and clearing the pump. The pump base has rubber feet to reduce noise and vibration, though it can still shift slightly when operating with a hose attached. Best part-no leaks whatsoever. Excellent kit, great value for the money.

This kit comes with the macerator pump, power connection, fresh water rinse setup featuring a ball-type shutoff valve and quick disconnect, a clear discharge fitting with hose clamps (helpful for seeing when water runs clear), a combo screwdriver for making connections, thread tape, a sturdy storage case with a tray for smaller items, forearm-length rubber gloves, and a short garden hose.

One downside is the included power cable is a bit short for reaching from my bayonet sewer connection to my battery box. Luckily, I already had the right extension cable in the proper wire gauge to make it work.

It's incredibly convenient for boondocking or camping without full hookups, simplifying sewer management. Just run the discharge to any exterior sewer cleanout, and you're set.

The macerator itself is solidly built and well constructed. The instructions are brief but clear, covering pump disassembly, reassembly, and proper maintenance.

Functions smoothly in my 28-foot camper with just one person using it. Important to shut off other electrical devices while it's running. Otherwise, it might trip a breaker or blow a fuse, as happened with my 30-amp system. Just part of managing power use in an RV-priorities have to be made.

This pump works perfectly;the hose length is more than enough,so you don't have to place it too close to the wastewater tank.The hose is sturdier than average-more like a professional hose.The whole setup effectively handles the wastewater.
