Works perfect.

I've been using this for a couple of months now. It handles both generators and shore power smoothly. It's well-crafted and easy to set up.

Great sturdy replacement

I'm really pleased with this plug. It was super easy to replace or upgrade on my old 1990 Coleman Popup. It lets me take out the cord and keep the exterior neat and sealed, without needing to snake the cord inside when I'm done - just pop it off. It locks in place once plugged, and I can use any cord length I want, swapping them out as needed. This is how the factory should have designed it from the start.

Did the jobs well - see the pics

I used this to link my little portable propane generator to my home's main electrical panel during power outages. I installed a 30 Amp breaker inside the panel and made sure to use a lockout bar on the main breaker, so when I switch to generator power, the main electrical supply to the panel is safely blocked off.

Just what I needed.

This is a high product that fits perfectly where I needed it. It provides a solid internal link for the generator to the race trailer's electrical system.

Easy to install

This is an excellent product we use at American Trailers of the Carolinas for building our refrigerated cooler trailers. These plugs pair up wonderfully with the Coolbot system. Planning to buy more.

Simple setup for replacement or new units

It's easy to set up, but it would be helpful if it included a wiring diagram to show which wires are "hot" and "neutral" for those who aren't electrically savvy.

Nice clean install

It installed neatly and works really well. My only suggestion is that the hole saw size they suggest isn't very common. I had to use a larger one. The outlet flange still covers it up nicely, but using a more standard size would make the installation even smoother.

Ideal for today's travel trailers

I'm really happy with this power inlet. It would get a perfect 5 out of 5 if you're installing it on a modern travel trailer with flat sides. My 1972 Shasta has aluminum siding with grooves that create some gaps where the foam gasket meets the siding. It's no big deal to seal those gaps with caulk. If the foam gasket were just a bit larger, it would be perfect for older models as well.

Receptacle Installation

This receptacle is really well made. I'm turning a Ford high top E-150 Mark III, 7-seater van into a camping van. I used a saber saw with a metal blade to cut a hole in the van's side to avoid warping the sheet metal. It's a good idea to cover the metal with a piece of duck tape about 10 inches square to protect the paint from scratches. Once the hole was cut to the right size as per the instructions, the receptacle fit in very easily.
